“Enduring franchises don’t happen by accident – they are built with intention,” said Elan Freedman.
Volt Factor – a new platform built to scale creator IP into global brands – has launched with a debut slate of creator partners including TheBurntPeanut, Alan Chikin Chow and That’s Amazing.
Volt Factor is co-founded by entrepreneur and licensing executive Elan Freedman, who serves as CEO, and former YouTube executive Lindsay Hampton, serving as President.
“Enduring franchises don’t happen by accident – they are built with intention,” said Elan Freedman.
“The top creators are building IP with unrivalled audience development capabilities and Volt Factor exists to bring this community into the franchise world. I’m thrilled to partner with Lindsay, who is widely recognized for her long-standing relationships with talent, and is regarded by many of YouTube’s most influential creators as one of the platform’s most trusted voices.”
Lindsay Hampton added: “Creators have built highly engaged global audiences and widely recognized IP, yet most lack the resources to fully capture the long-term value of what they’ve created. We started Volt Factor to change that. We work alongside creators and their teams, leading product strategy and execution, and managing the business backend so the brand can scale while creators focus on what they do best.”
Volt Factor is supported by a group of founding advisers, including Stephen Davis, former Chief Content Officer of Hasbro and President of Hasbro Studios & Consumer Products; Ken Black, former VP and Global Creative Director at Nike and co-founder of Nike SPARQ; Jim Lee, President and COO of Crunch Labs and Ed Latessa, a seasoned operator and investor affiliated with Raptor Group and owner of The Latessa Corp., with advisory roles including Gap and AS Roma.
