Sesame Workshop names Nishita Gupte as SVP of Strategy & Transformation

Sesame Workshop has promoted Nishita Gupte to Senior Vice President of Strategy & Transformation.

In the role, Gupte will lead the development and execution of Sesame Workshop’s long-term strategy, grounded in children’s needs and today’s emerging childhood realities.

Since joining Sesame Workshop in 2022, she has held senior leadership roles, including Vice President of U.S. Social Impact & Operations and Vice President of Strategy & Transformation.

“Nishita has been critical in helping to accelerate progress against core priorities and position Sesame Workshop for growth,” said Joseph Giraldi, Chief Operating Officer of Sesame Workshop.

“She demonstrates an exceptional capacity to align our mission to long-term direction and the systems required to deliver impact at scale. We are thrilled to have her leading this work as we look to the future.”

Gupte holds an MBA and an MA in Education from Stanford University and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
