The Macallan debuts James Bond whisky celebrating 55th anniversary of Diamonds Are Forever

The Macallan is launching a special edition James Bond whisky celebrating the 55th anniversary of Diamonds Are Forever.

The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release celebrates Bond’s ‘connoisseurship of sherry wine’ through a selection of sherry and red wine seasoned oak casks, distilled in 2007. The link – alongside the 007 in 2007, refers to a moment early in the film where Bond ‘noses’ a Solera sherry and later in the film, Bond’s forensic knowledge of red wine saves his life.

The packaging design offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creative development of the film, depicting the film’s concepts of clones, laser beams, the villain’s white cat and the Las Vegas lair. The film’s title sequence inspired the colour of the release.

This latest launch follows The Macallan’s Six Decades of Bond Collection that launched back in 2022.
