Royal Mail readies Harry Potter stamps

“Each stamp is a miniature masterpiece, a fitting tribute to mark the climactic end to the Battle of Hogwarts,” said David Gold, Director of External Affairs and Policy at Royal Mail.

Royal Mail has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products on a range of Harry Potter stamps.

The main set of 10 stamps feature images of characters presented in the darker tone used for the later films. Each stamp has a secondary scene or character incorporated into the design and the ‘1ST‘ font used for the value of the stamps replicates that of the typeface of the films.

A further six stamps, presented in a miniature sheet, feature illustrations of creatures and beings from the wizarding world, including Aragog the Acromantula, house-elf Dobby and Hermione’s cat Crookshanks.

“The Harry Potter stories and films have become a modern classic around the world. For more than two decades the characters in the Harry Potter series have captivated us and kept us enthralled,” said David Gold, Director of External Affairs and Policy at Royal Mail.

“Each stamp is a miniature masterpiece, a fitting tribute to mark the climactic end to the Battle of Hogwarts.”

The stamps go on general sale on October 19th.
