Anderson Entertainment set to stage new musical celebration of Gerry Anderson

Stand By for Action! 2 Tunes of Danger to feature music from iconic TV catalogue.

Thunderbirds, Space: 1999 and Stingray will all play a part in a new, one-off concert at Symphony Hall, Birmingham on Saturday 13 July 2024.

The brand-new celebration will bring classic theme tunes to life alongside some music that’s never before been performed by a full, live orchestra. The line up includes pieces from Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and other Gerry Anderson fan-favourite shows.

Hosted by Jon Culshaw and Genevieve Gaunt, this unique new concert celebrates the enduring legacy of Gerry Anderson’s creations, “blending nostalgia with the thrill of live music for a night that will resonate with fans of all ages.” Since 2024 is the 60th Anniversary of Stingray, the show will end with a very special performance that launches a new transmedia narrative for the IP.

Jamie Anderson, son of Gerry Anderson – and Director of Anderson Entertainment – says: “I cannot wait for fans to enjoy this brand-new exciting, nostalgia-packed and varied evening of iconic tunes with a full video backdrop. The concert will feature exclusive footage and newly restored colour and high-definition content. This truly is an epic journey not to be missed.”

Presented by Anderson Entertainment and Carrot Productions, Stand By for Action! 2 Tunes of Danger will take place at Symphony Hall, a B:Music venue on Saturday 13 July 2024 at 7.30pm. See more here
