Universal Orlando Resort details upcoming DreamWorks Land attractions

Universal Orlando Resort has detailed what to expect from DreamWorks Land when it opens this summer.

Located in the Universal Studios Florida theme park, DreamWorks Land features attractions and activations inspired by DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda franchises.

Guests can visit Shrek’s Swamp Meet to interact with characters just outside of Shrek’s cottage, while the ‘Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres’ play area features four slides, wet play areas and a playground.

King Harold’s Swamp Symphony will see guests create their own ‘melodious masterpiece’ as they trigger a choir of frog ribbits by stomping on an array of interactive lily pads and a Swap Snacks kiosk will serve themed food like Shrekzel, Far Far A Waffle and Frozen Ogre.

Inspired by Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, a Mama Luna Feline Fiesta attraction will bring the retirement home for cats to life. Guests can play with Mama Luna’s many cats across interactive screens activated by buttons, bells, maracas and levers.

On the Trolls front, the Trollercoaster will take guests on a ride on the Caterbus to escape evil spiders, while nestled under a giant mushroom is Poppy’s Playground, a shaded play area featuring colourful flowers, bugs and climbing structures for kids.

Inspired by the Kung Fu Panda films, Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp is a play area where guests can help the pandas wash and dry their laundry with water cannons, dump buckets, giant fans and more. Elsewhere, a digital, interactive meet and greet experience gives guests the opportunity to interact with the Po as he teaches them Kung Fu moves, cooks stir fry and babysits his little cousin, Ling Ling.
