The Brands Untapped Awards will take place on Thursday, November 26th at London’s Under the Bridge
Nominations are now open for the inaugural Brands Untapped Awards.
The event – taking place on Thursday, November 26th at London’s Under the Bridge – celebrates the achievements of the licensing industry’s community of creatives, designers and product developers.
The Brands Untapped Awards categories are divided into three main sections: one for creative agencies, one for creative/PD teams at licensors and one for design teams at licensees.
The categories to nominate in are detailed below, and the deadline to submit nominations is September 7th and nominations should be sent to: [email protected].
The Brands Untapped Awards categories are as follows:
CREATIVE AGENCIES
Style Guide of the Year (Character & Entertainment Brands) – Sponsored by Born Licensing
Celebrating style guides – and the creative agencies behind them – for character and entertainment brands across core guides, trend guides, asset packs and DTR kits.
To nominate, please submit a few examples of assets from the guide, details of the commercial impact of the guide and details of the creative agency responsible for the guide. Guide needs to have been delivered in the past 18 months.

Style Guide of the Year (Heritage Brands)
Celebrating style guides – and the creative agencies behind them – for heritage brands across core guides, trend guides, asset packs and DTR kits.
To nominate, please submit a few examples of assets from the guide, details of the commercial impact of the guide and details of the creative agency responsible for the guide. Guide needs to have been delivered in the past 18 months.

Celebrating creative agencies that deserve recognition for exceptional work over the past 12 months.
To nominate, please submit details of the creative agency’s key achievements from the past year.

Celebrating in-house design teams at apparel licensees that have achieved extraordinary things over the last year.
To nominate, please submit details of a specific licensed apparel range and why it deserves celebrating, as well as names of the design team involved. The range needs to have launched in the past 12 months.

Design Team of the Year (Consumer Products)
Celebrating in-house design teams at licensees across all consumer products categories that have excelled over the last year.
To nominate, please submit details of a specific licensed consumer products range and why it deserves celebrating, as well as names of the design team involved. The range needs to have launched in the past 12 months.

Design Team of the Year (Experiences)
Celebrating the development teams behind licensed experiences from the past 12 months.
To nominate, please submit details of a specific licensed experience and why it deserves celebrating, as well as names of the design team involved. The range needs to have launched in the past 12 months.

Celebrating a design leader at a licensee that has impressed over the past year.

In-Store Activation
Celebrating the design and creative execution of licensed retail activations and experiences.
To nominate, please submit details of a licensed retail activation or experience and why it deserves celebrating, as well as names of the design teams involved across all parties. The activation needs to have launched in the past 12 months.

Community Champion
Celebrating those who go above and beyond in championing and supporting the industry’s creative community.
To nominate, please submit details of the person’s achievements in championing the industry’s creative community from the past year.

Celebrating fresh creative talent working in the areas of design and product development, across licensors, licensees, creative studios and agencies.
