“This is just the start of our multi-platform relaunch across games, toys, and more,” said Ross MacLeod, CCO at Mind Candy.

Moshi Monsters is making a comeback, returning as an animated series that looks to launch in later 2028.

The series will reimagine the colourful Moshi universe for broadcast and streaming audiences, offering fast-paced, character-driven stories that is being billed as ‘Teen Titans meets Gumball’.

The series is developed in partnership with Wheel in Motion, Superprod Group’s London-based production company founded by ex Netflix and Nickelodeon exec, Alexi Wheeler.

“We are thrilled to be bringing Moshi Monsters back in a big way with this new animated series,” said Ross MacLeod, CCO at Mind Candy.

“This is just the start of our multi-platform relaunch across games, toys, and more, and we can’t wait to introduce the Moshi universe to a whole new generation while celebrating the creativity and imagination that made it a global phenomenon.”

Wheel in Motion’s Alexi Wheeler added: “I am delighted to be working with the Moshi Monsters team to reestablish such a beloved brand. Moshi Monsters was years ahead of its time in the digital space; the world has now caught up and it is time to bring this incredible set of characters to life for a modern audience.
