Lucy Saunders wins MTV’s Music Meets Fashion design competition

Fashion design graduate Lucy Saunders has been named the winner of the Music Meets Fashion competition, with her MTV collection now available to buy from River Island.

The competition – launched by MTV, the British Fashion Council, River Island and ICEBERG – was a global search for the world’s next top fashion designer.

As the winner, Lucy showcased her winning collection at London Fashion Week and it’s now available to buy at River Island.

“The world without music would be a very dull place, and this could also be said of fashion, so together they create something really exciting,” said Lucy, adding: “MTV is a platform that brings people together and it was important when designing the collection to celebrate that diversity through gender neutrality, size inclusivity and sustainability.”

Lucy graduated from Kingston School of Art and is now working as an apparel designer at FILA. Check out her collection in the video below:
