Countdown to action! Cartoon Museum’s Gerry Anderson exhibition opens March 3rd

Legendary TV producer Gerry Anderson is set to feature in The Cartoon Museum’s latest in-focus capsule exhibition. Opening on March 3rd 2023, the display promises to show art from the many worlds of the prolific storyteller, and TV Century 21.

The exhibition serves as a tribute to the man who revolutionised the world of sci-fi television through puppetry, action and model effects. Anderson’s career includes the hits Supercar, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Joe 90 and Captain Scarlet.

Jamie Anderson – son of Gerry Anderson, and Managing Director of Anderson Entertainment said: “Dad was a lifelong innovator, and incredibly passionate about creating great worlds and characters…” He added, “Legendary artists and writers have been, and continue to be, inspired by the characters and vehicles he and his teams developed. Comics have helped expand the universe and give additional life to these wonderful shows.”

Gerry Anderson’s Century 21 Exhibition is at the London Cartoon Museum from March 3rd until June 4th 2023.
