Matalan and Acamar Films look to raise funds for NSPCC with limited-edition Bing t-shirt

“We are thrilled that Bing is part of this initiative with Matalan and the NSPCC which will help make a difference in children’s lives across the UK,” said Katie Rollings, Chief Licensing Officer of Acamar Films.

Matalan has partnered with NSPCC and Acamar Films on a limited-edition Bing t-shirt ahead of Childhood Day on Friday June 7th 2024.

100% of the profits from every purchase of the t-shirt will go directly towards supporting the NSPCC’s vital services, ensuring that children across the UK are safe, listened to and supported. The limited-edition t-shirt is available online at matalan.co.uk and in stores, priced from £6.

“Here at Matalan, we are incredibly proud of our longstanding relationship with the NSPCC over the last 20 years and we are extremely grateful to all our customers who continue to support and help raise vital funds for this fantastic cause,” said Matalan CEO Jo Whitfield.

Katie Rollings, Chief Licensing Officer of Acamar Films, added: “Bing stories provide the emotional and social developmental tools to equip young children in getting ready for life. Childhood Day is an incredible way to come together and celebrate all children. We are thrilled that Bing is part of this initiative with Matalan and the NSPCC which will help make a difference in children’s lives across the UK.”

Jo Burton, Partnerships Manager at the NSPCC, continued: “Bing is such a beloved character on children’s television, and we’re delighted to see him on this brilliant t-shirt. The support of Matalan and Acamar Films in sharing this limited-edition t-shirt for Childhood Day this year is hugely important, as funds raised will help NSPCC services like Childline across the country.

“On average, a child contacts our Childline service every 45 seconds, and while that’s completely free to the child who needs support, it costs £4 for our counsellors to pick up and offer their help to children whenever they need it. We’re hugely grateful to Matalan, Acamar, Bing and everyone who will be taking part in Childhood Day this year. Whether you’re able to buy one of these great t-shirts, fundraise, donate or volunteer to help this Childhood Day, it all makes a difference and helps us help children in Merseyside and across the UK.”
