Dutch book series, Sam & Julia / The Mouse Mansion, continues to expand worldwide reach.
The Dutch book series, Sam & Julia / The Mouse Mansion, is expanding its worldwide reach with a series of international deals. Created by Karina Schaapman, the Sam & Julia stories revolve around the adventures of two mice in their Mouse Mansion – made from cardboard boxes, waste materials and vintage fabrics.
Since 2011, the 23 Sam & Julia books have sold over a million copies. Recent brand extensions include an animated TV series, art and craft products and a range of plush. Now The Mouse Mansion continues to build on its success with new contracts across Europe and Latin America.
Translations of the original books are soon to be available in Slovakia, with activity books in Czech Republic. Meanwhile, Milan-based trading company Borella SRL becomes the official distributor for Italy.
Speaking of the new deals, Jeannine Lafèbre, Global Licensing & Partnerships, Foreign Publishing at Sam & Julia said: “The Mouse Mansion resonates with families, educators, and publishers across so many cultures…” She added, “Our mission has always been to make creativity, kindness, and storytelling accessible to children everywhere — and these new partnerships are helping us do just that.”
