Fira X Wear debuts My Hero Academia collection

Fira X Wear has launched a My Hero Academia fashion collection.

Born to License guided the licensing process for this milestone collaboration – from assisting with initial acquisition and IP management to liaising with Toho Animation and facilitating approvals with Crunchyroll.

“I want to create clothing that feels like something the characters themselves would wear in real life,” said Jasmine James, founder of Fira X Wear.

“As anime has become more mainstream, people are realising it’s not just for kids anymore, but the fashion side of it has been slower to evolve. We grew up with anime, and now we want outfits that reflect our love for it in a stylish way. With my background in concept art and costume design, I’ve always been drawn to translating key character elements into wearable, real-world fashion. In game design, a character’s silhouette, colour, and details need to make an immediate impact, and I bring that same philosophy to Fira X Wear – creating pieces that aren’t just merch, but statement-making fashion inspired by the worlds we love.”

Crunchyroll’s VP of Global Consumer Products, Anna Songco Adamian, added: “This ‘My Hero Academia’ collection from Fira X Wear is going to empower fans to ‘Be The Main Character’ and embrace what the series means to them. The anime fandom continues to grow, and we can’t wait for fans to express their love for the medium through this unique and powerful collaboration.”

David Born, CEO at Born to License, said: “Fira x Wear has burst into the licensing space, and we’re thrilled to have played a part in bringing this bold new collection to life. My Hero Academia is a powerhouse brand with a passionate global fanbase, and this drop captures the energy and style fans love.”
