]]> A Taskmaster live experience is in the works.

Avalon, Greg Davies and Alex Horne have invited the Taskmaster community to sign up to a new mailing list for the attraction, stating: ‘If more than 100,000 fans sign up, the project can go ahead, production will commence and the Taskmaster Live Experience will become a reality.’

“A lot of people have asked us whether we’ve ever considered doing a Taskmaster Live experience, so that you glorious people at home could actually take part in the same ludicrous tasks that so-called comedians do,” said Taskmaster Greg Davies and his assistant Little Alex Horne.

“If we get 100,000 sign ups then we’ll know, and Taskmaster the live experience will become a thing soon…. Ish. So what are you waiting for? Sign up and become a hero. Your time starts now”.

]]> Scallywag Arcade has teamed up with Avalon on a Taskmaster VR game.

Launching in 2024, Taskmaster VR will see players step into the shoes of a contestant and let loose in the Taskmaster House in a bid to win Greg’s golden head trophy.

“Genuinely, this is extraordinary, brilliant and very fun,” said show creator and the Taskmaster’s Assistant, Alex Horne.

“Also, I’ve always wanted to be a contestant on Taskmaster so this is great for me as a VR user – except that I will also have my virtual self watching my attempts and undermining my confidence, so I may well regret the whole venture after I’ve had a go.”

Niall Taylor, Head of Games at Scallywag Arcade, added: “The world of Taskmaster is perfect for VR. Combining the hilarity of the show with the freedom of virtual reality gives players an immersive – and slightly mad – experience”.

Greg Davies, the Taskmaster, said: “The team have done an incredible job and the game is a really exciting addition to the Taskmaster world. On a personal note, the creation of a virtual reality Taskmaster takes me ever closer to my ultimate goal of working without even leaving my sofa”.

Taskmaster VR is set to launch in 2024 for Meta Quest 2 and 3.
