Fronting the campaign is former England international and lifelong punk fan Stuart Pearce. The band’s connection with football runs deep – during the launch of their first single, Sex Pistols adverts appeared in football programmes promoting Anarchy in the U.K.

The range is inspired by Marley’s visit to Battersea Park in 1977. He would visit and play football with the locals in breaks between recording the Exodus LP.

The collection features a reissue of his full iconic tracksuit, alongside the yellow ‘Rico’ t-shirt from Rico Rodriguez MBE, worn by band members during the games. It also includes two Marley-inspired football shirts.

“These sprawling semi-organised pick-up games are the way everyone started playing football as a kid – it’s football in its purest form and, of course, Bob and The Wailers did it in their own inimitable style,” said Owen Blackhurst, Editorial Director at MUNDIAL.
